``Life is made up of the moments that take your breath away``.
That was my walk yesterday.
After the 2 weeks of almost constant gray and dreariness,
I took myself on a walk through the woods around our place.
I took my phone camera because I knew there would be something out there that would probably take my breath away- considering I was finally seeing color.
My walk and all I saw was not a dissappointment.
I truly needed this time to shake off the last couple of weeks.
I think I now can wholeheartedly embrace this fall season, and come to terms with the fact that no, we did not have a beautiful summer....but we will get some sort of an amazingly beautiful autumn.
These are the days I wish I never had to go indoors.
Finally I can heartily say-
Happy Autumn!

The shot you took looking up into the poplar trees gave me chills. SO beautiful - full of grace and strength. Thank you for that. :)
Gah! So gorgeous! We had an incredibly warm, sunny day today after a long week of gray, clouds and rain. It's supposed to last through this coming week *fingers crossed* It's amazing how much a little sunshine makes a difference.
What beautiful colors, haven't noticed this yellow around here...only red...its amazing.
We've had so little rain here and it's been so hot that I fear we won't have near this much color. The leaves will probably just turn brown and fall. :c( Looking forward to enjoying the color on your blog and others.
Love the tree with the sway in the trunk and the rosehip shot. It's a magnificent fall so far.
wow what a nice walk you had....
Have a happy happy Autumn too, Dawn. I love Fall. The changing of the leaves, the rainy evenings, everybody all cozy and comfy indoors...
The colors in your photos are amazing!
Have a great start of the new week. xxx
Absolutely beautiful photos! I'm getting very excited for fall (after this extremely hot summer)! Those yellow hues are perfect, I'm hoping we still have a pretty fall in my area despite our lack of rain.
(sorry, I was under the wrong account before when I commented).
When I take walks like this on a bright sunny day as yours the song Zippity Do Dah always comes to mind. Hope you remember the song..It's a great one... Mr. Bluebird will come on your shoulder.. If I took the picture of the trees straight up I would fall down.. Dizziness would over take me..LOL...Have a great day~!~!
These photos seriously made me tear up. I want to stare up into those trees forever. Thank you for sharing these. I needed this.
