Some say if you break a problem into parts....it's easier to figure out.
In this case,
I do believe it's just a lot of work no matter how you view it.
~~~~~~~~~~
I think this problem can just rest easy on the big hill out back...
for some problems are probably better
just left alone.
Beautiful barn.....Your right sometimes problems are probably better left alone.Visiting from It's All About Purple
my barn could use some attention too, but i'm glad my roof isn't shake shingles like yours is! it makes for some pretty photos, though! (glad you're linking in to Barn Charm!)
Wonderful old barn! It has tons of character.
Fabulous barn and beautiful sky.
Yes, I agree sometimes things are better left as they are!
Have a great week.
it's a charming problem dawn, is it yours?
such a pretty barn that looks like a barn....i love the roof and the red & white!! the light is just perfect in that first shot!!
it's a great one for barn charm, i have to post mine!!
My grandmother used to ask me..when I was pondering problems.."Just how bad do you want to kick a hornet's nest?" LOL!
Yes, some problems are best left alone!
Cool you linked to Barn Charm!
The barns look like I feel somedays:)
Such a beautiful barn...may it be saved.
I love the photos but more importantly I love the way your mind works.:) B
The old "better leave well enough alone" situation. I know it well.
Great old barn though. Love the color. :)
Beautiful pictures, Dawn! That's a cool looking old barn and the lighting is wonderful! Your message is on the money as usual. :-)
well put...nice photos Dawn...
I wish it was mine. I would love to restore something like that. I wonder if I could come and carry it home to California and rebuild it here. I need a barn like that.
Lovely words also.
Great old barn! Plenty of character...
Beautiful barn, but what a roofing job that would be!
Awesome barn picture. Love it!
These are beautiful images !
nice photos! I love the character! just imagine what it has been through?!!
I like the shingled roof. You don't see that a lot. Nice photos.
That one is a beauty...wish it would be restored to its former glory.
I love that roof; completely full of character and charm. Sweet!
That poor barn needs a little love! :)
I dunno, Dawn. This looks like someone took that "leave the problem alone" philosophy for too long, changing a little problem into a big problem.
It does need a little TLC.
That project looks like a good one to make friends with some farmers that have done a refurb before and offer to trade labor for experience. I'm no farmer, but if the structure is solid, I'd tackle it from the top down. New roof to protect the rest.
Regarding the HIM, it was nice not having the hype and pressure (and cost) but tough to keep going when the going got tough with no real finish line and no signs, people cheering, etc along the way.
I love old structures like this... I picture in my mind what they could tell me if only they could talk.
Beautiful shots Dawn. I'm not so sure that some problems are best left alone, if I do that with too many of my problems they all pile up and become HUGE problems. I'm currently trying to sort one out and just don't know what to do with it, all in good time but at least I'm giving this one some thought.
Have a great week... your post has me thinking now and I came to blogger not to think! lol Nite, have a great day!
Precisas fotos..un beso desde Murcia..me ha gustado mucho..seguimos...
Great photos and thoughts. Sometimes taking a problem apart gives us more problems to solve.
What an awesome old barn!
I lot of work true, but its a classic American barn so i really do hope someone fixes it up. Old wood from barns is worth a good amount of money, and ive seen some very nice floors and tables made from it. But in this case since its still standing i hope they can save it. Maybe you could run over there and tell them, plus you could get a good run in at the same time!. Richard
You have a great eye for photography Dawn.
And, I would def be the one to vote for leaving all that work alone.
these old barns... they sure make for some beautiful photographs, don't they... =)
thanks for joining this week's Barn Charm
The worn look really adds charm to this barn. Very nice photos.
That barn would take a lot of work to repair, but it does look charming in photos.
Beautiful old barn that has seen better days.
My sentiment exactly, ignore it, sweep it under the carpet, bury your head in the sand and hopefully somebody else will deal with it. Did I mention I got divorced a few years back:-)
What a fantastic barn. Love that first shot!
Sometimes what used to be a problem, when left alone, ceases to be a problem because its significance has diminished.
If the barn was still to serve its original purpose its state would be a (big) problem. But if it existed only to serve as a photo op, then there would be no problem with it at all.
Kinda depends on how you look at it.
Nice views, btw.
I think you are right! It's too bad about this old beauty. It looks big and awesome...
