Running Me

Remember this post?
~~~~
Well.....things have changed.
The leash is loved- for not all the right reasons.
~~~

We don't just walk and run anymore....

...it's a tug-of-war.

And guess who always seems to win?

Can you really run with a dog? I had a terrible time with my mom's dog running with the leash in my hand. How do you do it?

That Duke is such a darling. Snap that leash, Dawn, and say "heel." He'll get the message sooner than later. You can do it!

Yes, I see why he wins tug-o-war.

How cute is he?! But it's going to get tougher as he gets bigger. :)

Such a cute dog! Training is fun isn't it? We just have a small dog, but same amount of work :) She's a great on a leash now. It just took a while.

Awww...cute!! How could you not love a puppy face like THAT!?! Kiara grabs her leash like that when I try to get away with too short of a walk.

A determined puppy.

Mine likes to hold the leash sometimes and lead herself.If I am where I can let her loose I often do.I just tell her to stay with me.

I would take pictures of our beloved furball on his leash, but he's so active and unpredictable that I can't handle the camera. I've tried using the BlackBerry, but he moves so much that all I get it a blur.

Gotta try that again. I think every dog on the planet is conspiring against us :)

My dog used to do that too when we ran. She wanted to carry it in her mouth the whole time. Eventually she grew out of it. Maybe it's just a puppy thing. Oh those eyes on Duke - I just can't take it. What a sweetheart!

We had the hardest time breaking our puppy to the lead. She did the same thing too.

My grandog Izzy does this to me and I tell her that she has to let go.. I just shorten up the leash and make her walk beside me.. I think that is called heal..

He is so CUTE. WOW. I've never tried to run with a dog (mine when I was little was probably not trained well enough to do that). I would like to when I get a dog of my own someday (please let that be soon)! Any suggestions?

you know DAwn, Hurricane does that with his leash and will carry it in his mouth but only at the beach...interesting! I wish I could ask him 'why'...

How could you not give into that face. What an angel.

He gets more gorgeous by the day; I can see why he wins !

Don't worry, he'll grow out of it - our samoyed did, but it took about 2 years.
