Do you really want to hide?

We all seem to put up fronts from time to time.

Sometimes hiding behind something makes us feel safer.

And we may appear to be approachable, but really just want to stand back and hope no one notices.
~~~~~~~
I've been doing this.
I have been hiding behind all things that look good- so I can too.
But it's a tiring job.
And I want to just be me.
So.
Here it goes.
I'm ready to shoot down all I've been hiding behind.
Care to join me if you're hiding too?
:)
I love that last photo! :D
I also love when I truly am myself. Its hard to live every moment without hidding behind something, but I sure do try!
If you're to be aiming those pistols, I'd much rather be hiding, thank you very much!
Very cute. :)
great post! I'm happy to say that after spending much of my life hiding behind various things, I'm not doing it all now...
I'm glad to hear that you aren't either!
There comes a time in life when we drop the fronts, no more facades and we live, really live and be who we're intended to be. Spread your wings and fly, your time has arrived is appears! You go girl! :-) Awesome post and wonderful photos, nice boots (shoes) btw! lol
Not sure what I like better...the big boots or the big guns!
Shoot away.
Be who you are and say what you think because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. -Dr. Seuss. It's a paraphrase as I can't recall the exact quote right now.
Few words, but a big message.
You need to do what feels right for you.
I reveal what's comfortable for me. As I'm sure others do.
No right or wrong. I'm just glad you are here. :)
I'm so not a blogger said...
so hear you on this one.
I do what I feel, when I feel like what I want to do.I am on TV some and give programs, so sometimes it is fun to be in the background.
I agree with the other comments, you go first :)
interesting how you chose buildings to depict your point of hiding behind something. sometimes the faces we wear can be as difficult to penetrate as these buildings. But sooner or later they deteriorate so you might as well be yourself
love your fun side!
not sure if I told you but i've started a new blog and you are invited over for a visit when you have the time.
We just talked about this last night in our small group on our living room (which we call church). Admitting our powerlessness to God helps us push away our pride and be real and authentic (with God and others). Knock down those walls!
I'm really really really pondering your deep thoughts today :-)
I've grown comfortable hiding. It's easier to keep up that hard shell rather than let the softer side show. I don't do it for pride it's become habit.
I'm with you, girl. I can't hide behind a regular paycheck now. It's time to step up to the plate and make things happen.
Dawn, your pictures are so freaking AWESOME! I love that you get great shots with whatever you have! That is perfect! SO cool!
Definitely. I love your honesty. Sometimes it's hard to see all these cute blogs and people that seem so perfect, and feel like I don't have anything nearly as cute or creative or encouraging to say... but if we all just be ourselves, we can see each other for who we really are.
Does that make sense? :)
Thanks for the reminder :)
PS: Love your new blog layout and fonts and such... :)
