Dog's Life

There lives a dog named Duke.
But sadly he's found too cute.

He gets away with anything.
He chews anything left on the ground.
The ground is frozen yet he has still managed to dig and uproot his owner's flower bulbs.

He finds his way into the garbage container and decides he needs to sort it.
He's chewed through his leash, stolen the other dogs' Dog House, likes to sniff and follow any trail, and is far too friendly when he's greeting.

~Discipline~
He needs Discipline.

{I need a break from this unruly character
Or rather- my yard does.}

And I often find he needs a break from himself.....

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too.

Aww, how can something so cute be such a terror? He sounds like my son though. Minus the leash part of course. ;)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh my word - CUTEST DOG EVER! He looks like a big baby in the last shot - love it! Is his fur as soft as it looks?

Oh wow! I love him so much. I don't know how I would handle all THAT, though. My dog got loose last night for an hour and I wanted to find her safe...and then kill her. Grrr. Dang dogs. Why do they have to be so loveable??!!

Love the photos of your dog, Duke. You prose reminded me of the poem Jimmy Stewart wrote for his dog, Beau. Here's the link to him reading it for Johnny Carson :

What a great dog!! Well, I am afraid it would be hard for me to discipline him too.

Such a neat looking dog! Big dogs are wonderful. I have a wonderful dog, but he hates cameras. I am sure it has to do with flashes (which he equates with lightning), but even without the flash, he's scared. And the same goes for cell phone cameras.

What a good looking dog, I bet he is a character for sure :)

Really tough to mete out discipline when they look at you with those big pleading eyes, ain't it ?

My wife still refers to our Sasha as 'that puppy from hell' - and Sasha's 9 1/2 years old now !

They just have a way of finangling themselves into your heart. You know that Duke's a keeper !

That's is a face that steals hearts. I know he took mine. You are both so lucky to have one another.

Awwww, how could anyone get mad at Duke? I LOVE the first shot, that's my favorite and look at those adorable eyes.

My wee dog is so funny, I can't look at her for too long when she gets a "talking to", I'd melt otherwise and she'd win! Yup our best friends eh?

Have a fantastic week Dawn, we're heading back into that darn deep freeze it's saying (the weatherman becomes an "it" when it's bad news!lol). Maybe, a small maybe, I'm going to take this week off my classes as well, next week is reading week and two weeks off classes would be nice to catch up to all the work! If it's too cold come Wednesday I think that I'm going to do just that! maybe... Dig out the woolies and bundle up!

Heaven's how cute is that white fluffy one!!!

They do look to us for guidance and discipline --and the sooner the better. He's not naughty -- he's just bored. Another challenge for you Dawn. :)

Duke IS TOO CUTE! Can't believe how big he's gotten. He looks like he would make a very comfy pillow. Lol. And I love your quote! I used that for this blog a while ago:

Good luck training your puppy!

I swear, he is the cutest thing. I love the sleeping pics. My brother just got a new puppy. It's hard not to love a puppy, isn't it?

Awww, SOOOO cute. My husband and I laugh as we watch our dogs, because discipline is definitely needed with them too. And we say, gosh I hope we aren't as permissive with our kids (one day) as we are with our dogs... :)
