A lament of sorts.

I just woke up from a dream where I left this landscape.....

....and headed in to this one:

With my head above the clouds I pretty much was on my way to anywhere.
~~~
I swam in this Blue.
Had a garden of these.
And I believe I even had quite an intellectual conversation with this guy.
~~~~~~

But then I woke up, and reality- as always- settled in.
I had landed right back to where I had started from.
(sigh)
I feel the need to go back to bed.
Wake me up in the spring.

I can see green and brown and no snow, and I am feeling cabin fever. The need for warmth and sun and no sweatshirts and coats. :) I feel like I need to just go back to bed too. :)

Oh yes. After one week of your weather, I'm so happy to see the sun today! Let the melting commence!

Awesome photos Dawn! What the heck is this about going back to bed? You got out, you adventured, the grass is greener on the other side BUT you got to go away, you got to adventure and the snow here might be a bit disappointing but this too shall pass. Here's something for you to think or do today, write out a list of EVERYTHING in your life which you have to be grateful for, here I'll start you out... I'm grateful for all this snow because without the snow melting in the spring the farmers wouldn't have enough moisture for their crops and without our wheat crops we wouldn't be able to bake, make or buy bread, heck, you couldn't even make gravy for those delicious pot roasts without wheat! :-) Then sit down and watch the news tonight and see how you feel after that.

I hope you have a fantastic day my friend! Huge hugs!

Oh I know, I know.
But I SO thought it was getting warmer out. I even saw ground the other day! And I heard birds. Lots of them. Tweeting a spring song.
Now....there's a blizzard out my window.
I feel like a whiney kid.....;))

I don't like knowing what could be - but isn't!
(Okay....i'll try your list idea;))
But if it doesn't work- you and I are flying outta here....
:))

Wax up your skis and get out and embrace the weather. Skis and fireplaces are how I came to love this weather.

While I love the Spring and Summer the Winter snow makes me smile too. So many adventures to be had that are so much better than being at work. Have a happy Sunday.

I hate wishing my days away... but Spring can't get here fast enough! Maybe getting away to a warmer climate, only to return to snow and cold is worse than never having left?

Nope!! Haha!! Glad one of us got to escape at least for a little while. :)

Ok, I'll wake you up, but you'll have to wake me up after that! Long live Summertime and lemonade!!

Much agreed! We had one uncannily warm day this week (maybe hit 50 degrees!). I feel like I should have warn a sundress just to soak it up. :) I'll hibernate with you - forget winter!
