I was just sitting in my car in the driveway after dropping the kids off at school and before I hopped out, I realized how sweet the raindrops sounded on my sun roof and I just sat there with my eyes closed and listened to some of God's music for a while. What a world of loveliness we've been given. Thanks for all your photos that remind me daily of how lucky we are.
I used to love being out in the rain. Now I forget to do it.
So true, so true you know I know this one. To take a photo trip out the rain and the wilderness with you would be fun. I love the rain but am ready for it to stop for a least a week so I can get my garden in. Nice pics. B
I say dance in the rain....you only live once....
i love that 'potential' bud. so beautiful!
♥love and light
Thought provoking... and oh, so true! What a beautiful first pic (my personal favorite). :)
All such beautiful blooms! I love a good rainy day :) (just not a bunch of them in a row!!)
So very true.
If we are lucky enough that the wind is not blowing a gale, then I don't mind walking around the yard in the rain, checking out the new flowers. Perfect quote to go with your gorgeous photos, Dawn. :)
this adeline knapp is one smart cookie.lovely detail in those white petals.
I laughed at someone telling me they hadn't beenout for a walk because of the rain.I asked if they ever jumped in a puddle. We have had lots so it would cramp my style a bit.
Great post and congrats on your marathon showing!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Gorgeous photos.... and wonderful sentiments x
Really beautiful shots. And yes---I agree...Walking in the rain is a nice way to feel alive.
beautiful pics, dawn.i love being out in the rain. when i was little, we lived across the street from a beautiful golf course. there was nothing better than running barefoot across the soft greens during a rain shower.xo~molly
As always I leave here with a smile on my face and something to think about.
always so thought provoking....i just love a good storm...when it becomes real dark in the middle of the day and rains. listening to the soft patter of the rain on the windows....cozy!!!!
i forgot to say great pictures....it's hard to believe you use a phone camera. xo
Looks like you are finally have Spring! Lovely flowers, and I love the quote!
I love this quote, Dawn - and, of course, your fantastic photography. I've always been a contrarian, of sorts, heading out when everyone else is heading in. There's nothing as lovely as a beach, for example, on a grey, wet day. It takes on a sheen that folks who show up to battle the crowds on hot, sunny days never get to see. Thanks for the timely reminder to always seek the unique perspective.
Such a true quote, my favorite pass time is "rubber-booting"...going out in the rain, exploring the creeks and playing in puddles.
Wonderful photos, Dawn (even if they did take quite a while to load, given my %*&^ internet connection). I find that the light is great during a (light) rain or immediately before/after - very soft with no harsh glare.Congrats on your 1/2 marathon AND beating your goal !! Whoohoo !!
Love the pics! Way to turn rainy weather in to something positive to share.
Oh oh, Rick's getting a potty mouth... we'd best find him an internet solution and soon! Sorry Rick, I can't help myself some nights. Dawn I love your pretty flowers, very nice pics.
Love the flowers !!!
That's one thing, living here in the Hollow, that I love since we have a metal roof and a large covered front porch where I can listen to the creek or the raindrops!...:)JP
Yes! great message Dawn!love the photo's
