Hanging from my window~

Hanging lazily out my window one morning, 

(I felt no desire to pull on boots, coat, hat ~ just to freeze fingers)

I clicked away at the frost which had settled around the house.

The leaves playing the Waiting Game have succumbed to the season.

(I never thought I would use the word "succumbed", but these have;)

And I think they have done so quite gracefully.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone. 

Enjoy every moment....hanging out windows or otherwise!

(And try not to succumb to the craziness of the season)

Tucked Away

I've been busy Falling for Moments like these:

My youngest came in to the kitchen this morning and stated,

"On these days, it would seem just awful to stay 

Tucked Away 

inside your house."

I wholeheartedly agreed.

seemingly simple~

Do you ever wonder about the things we miss~ 

when we pass the seemingly simple things by?

A few reasons....

~just a few reasons why I love this land~

I thought they were just frog beds....

I had NO IDEA lily pads grew flowers.
I truly didn't.


So you can imagine just how enthralled I was when I paddled out on the lake the other night and found these:

I would have posted all the photos I took....but in my new-found knowledge in the fact lily pads do in fact grow blooms,

....you can imagine just how many captures there were.

A ton.

So many in fact, that I think I almost used up my memory card.

I felt like a kid in a candy store.

(NOTE: I did NOT pick this flower.

I found it floating in the middle of the lake all by itself.

Broken off and upside down.

So as not to waste it- I used it to decorate my kayak.)

And here I thought lily pads were strictly just Frog Beds.


I need to get out more.

Seeing is believing....

The calendar may have SAID it was Spring, but I didn't believe it.Not for a moment.Until.... this week..

"Faith.....

the substance of things hoped for,

the evidence of things not seen."

~Somehow it's just so much 

easier to believe in something 

when you see it.~

(guess you could say I'm lacking in the Faith Department....)

most like me

I truly love my times spent with others.

I also appreciate the times I'm able to slip away....

where I'm not bothered by another soul.

And the times I'm in the spotlight? ~~ I like that too.

{As long as I'm not there unwillingly. 

Like when I fall down some stairs or slip on ice or say the wrong thing at the wrong time......}

If I had to choose though?

I like it here best.

It wouldn't matter if I was alone or not ~ 

being in the spotlight wouldn't make a difference.

This is where I truly feel like me.
