Beautiful in the Mundane

Driving to work I stopped to look at this.

Walking to get my mail I watched how shadows fell.

Washing the dishes I enjoyed this view.

Hiking a trail I left a smile for whoever came next.

It's finding beauty in every day mundane which sometimes keeps me going.

It can be
quite a

beautiful Life.

Awesome post Dawn, I love your outlook on life! Sometimes we have to look a bit harder or make out own beauty but it's there. Gorgeous photos of the trees, stunning shots! Love the smiley face as well.

Yes... it can be when we look for that beauty. I have thought the same thing. It is easy for me to sit and think of the things that are not beautiful around me... because aren't there many of those things? In everyone's life? Looking for the details that bring joy is like a life raft for me. A bit of beauty in the ordinary. That's living! Hugs, Dawn!!

It's so easy to miss the obvious because we are so caught up in what is going on in our heads.

But you ahve managed to capture it beautifully.

I wish more people could adopt your attitude. Something so simple as opening the door and taking a brief walk can certainly make one feel grateful for the simple and ordinary.

Warm hugs, Dawn :)

There really is beauty all around us. I think sometimes we are just too stressed, or in a hurry, to see it.

Love that snow you have. There is definately beauty in that and a smiley face left for someone else :), even blogging friends. Yes, my birthday is close to Christmas, but before Christmas so it's not been forgotten like my Mothers was when she was young because it is two days after Christmas. I love celebrating my birthday at this time. Have you decorated for the holidays yet? I was going to take a pic of my little squashes that I hollowed out and put flowers in for Thanksgiving and my table, but I was too caught up in the company to remember. I really need bring the camera out more often so I can post more of my own pics on the blog. Hope you had a great day. Hugs to you too.

Isn't that just the key to life? FInding beauty in ordinary things? Of course, you express it so extra-ordinarily, it's just like a masterpiece. I'm still waiting for our snow! That will be a great day for me.
