backyard finds

There's a lot of work to be done around this place.
Example #1:
I still have construction stairs braced on my front porch.
~It's been 5 years since I moved in.~
(I'll hold back more comments on THIS matter. I tend to go off on a tangent.)

And that's just one thing.
Let's not talk about mud sidewalks that have yet to hold concrete...or....
(oh! never mind!)

I DO love the other parts though.
Remember the "barrel of fun"?
The "birdhouse neighbors"?

And now I have these kinds of things popping up in every direction:

It's a good thing to keep your focus on the positive.
(As long as you don't fall in my mud walk~way.
Oh....and please be careful when you walk up those braced steps!)

Love the pics. I try hard not to start projects so I don't end up with half finished ones :-).

Flowers always seem to make things better. Your photos are beautiful.

What beautiful blooms you have there! Lucky you.

Dawn at least you planted your flowers, when there's beauty to admire the rest doesn't seem to matter quite as much. All in good time the rest will get done, just call a handyman for an estimate and see how fast people start moving around your place! lol

We are the same here...always something that needs attention around the house/farm.

Those flowers look wonderful.

We finally got our back steps redone--so there is hope. It will happen and all the frustration will be a distant memory.

There's always tomorrow for projects. The flowers are short-lived. :)

I've come to the realization that summer time is nothing more then one long "honey do list."

Can't wait until fall so I can get some rest.

Seriously! While we have nothing like that to take care of, the weeds in our garden are a mile high. As in ....higher than the corn!

Glad I'm not the only one with a looong "To Do" list :).

I love that nastursium, I didn't put any in this year.I had a temporary step for a few years until my preganant wife slid off it. Funny how things get put off and can be fixed in a jiffy.

Lovely inspiring post. Somebody once said to me: "Don't let the mud on your shoes get to your heart." So true.

When we were building, everyone somehow overlooked that we needed a cement driveway and not one with dirt, nor did we have a sidewalk to the front of the house.
My husband sold the travel trailer to get the money or I might still have been on dirt and mud. :)
My thinking was I would be happier with a driveway and a side walk.
I think I was too, So much easier to clean.

you may not have sturdy steps but the flowers in your yard are beautiful. :)

I'm not saying I'm klutzy but I'd probably be watching the flowers and trip on the steps. Then I'd end up in a box with flowers on top. Sheesh!

These blooms make my heart happy!

Wow Dawn! These photo's are stunning. The flowers are so gorgeous!! It's funny how we tend to think about what needs doing, then just never really get round to it.

The flowers are beautiful--and focusing on the beautiful makes the other seem not so bad. Have a great day--I'm off to Mongolia in a bit :)
