"no matter....the road is life"

Three things I have learned over this year.
And am still learning.

That is such great advice! Thanks for reminding me.

And the photos! These would be considered good if taken with an expensive camera! Nice job!

Oh so love the poetry and the photos nicely done and even such quality with just a cell phone...isn't life amazing!....who even needs a camera any more really.....looks like you had an awesome place to go camping.

Very beautiful quotes! I love this. And isn't that the truth...when you forgive, you realize that you are the one who has been set free. While I have also done a lot of that lately, I know there is one person I still need to forgive. It isn't that I don't want to... it's that sometimes it hurts so badly, and how do you change the way you feel? I suppose that in theory I completely forgive that person, but my heart hangs on to it with claw-like zeal.

sigh.

I like the Kerouac qoute, a favorite writer of mine.Fun shots working well withthe tone you added, along with the combined thoughts.

Just read your comment to Switzerland and thought ofmy first time going through on the train. I had my window down and was Ohhhing and Ahhhing like a little kid, while all the commuters were ignoring the beauty and reading newspapers, thinking silly tourist.Where the Alps start in Italy, the Dolomites, is the start of a storybook fantasy for me.I tried to get on a geology project there just to be around the beautiful area longer.

Wonderful post and pictures and sepia. I think we all fight with the "harden not your hearts" advice. And letting go... Jeepers that's tough...

Very nice shots. I just feel like some park ranger from the 1930s should step into one of the frames.

awesome reminders, the letting go is hard for sure

The pictures and the sentiments you subtly wrapped around them are so, so resonant. I've long paused when approaching a bridge. I see these structures as metaphors for life, and opportunities to learn. But only if we take the time to reflect before, while and after we cross.

So cool that you do exactly that. I've learned something tonight, and I have you to thank.

Thank you for raising Thematic yet another notch.

Wise words...not so easy to do...just think how free one would feel if we did this on a regular basis.

Okay Dawn, I have to ask... what type of a cell phone do you have? These are stunning photos, and then I noticed you took them with your cell phone which makes them that much more amazing!

Wonderful post, you always have such a wonderful, inspirational way of sharing, thank you.
