(This post is in no way trying to portray the beautiful lizard as a lesser animal. He is strictly being used as a means to exemplify the point being stated.)
Reminds me of a Nike rep I spoke to years ago and I asked him why they made the race flats in ugly fluorescent colors. He said it was because the pro runners who race in them are like peacocks ...they want to stand out!
Wonderful way to illustrate a point. I nearly missed him in the first shot.. then I thought how the bark looked like a creature of some sort. Eventually, I saw the head and felt suitable dumb. ;)
Your point was well taken :) As a kid, I was always nervous about standing out....you're so worried about fitting in! Now as an adult, I realize the importance of standing out from the pack :)
Dawn this is another wonderful post, I love the message! I much prefer the colorful bird over the lizard... no offense to the lizard. lol Have a wonderful Friday!

You are right on here - and you made me laugh this morning, too!
(I hope no animals were hurt during writing of this post.) :D
I love your disclaimer! You should be a lawyer. Lol! All great photos.
I don't know. I kind of like blending in like the lizard. You get shot at a lot less ;).
Nice, nice, nice! What an animal!
I think I like the lizard more than the bird. He looks like he has attitude.

Point taken too.

It's good to stand out, but blending in has its good side. Great post.
Nice disclaimer. Wouldn't want any lizardites hating on you!
Parrots always charm me. Iguanas can have that attitude, I am amused when people get them for pets.
haha - if i saw those lizards in real life, my heart would jump out of my chest!
Great Lizard. My daughter had one that grew to be five feet before we gave it to a place. That is a very nice one. I like the parrot too.
LOL ! I love your disclaimer!! And agree with your statment. I've never been one to blend in :) Whats the fun in that!! :)
Amen! We are so on the same page, girl. Sometimes I wish I could give you a big hug. :)

Nice post....now, explain to me how those lizards can run so fast , the way they do, without getting sand in their butt....
