I forgot and remembered~

I finally put the kayak in the lake for the first time last night.
I had forgotten just how therapeutic it is.

Being out there made me forget a lot of things.
Like schedules and things to do and issues.

After awhile I even forgot where I was.
I sat still and took pictures with my (phone)camera.

I think the best part of the evening kayak...
was that I remembered how to breathe again.

That's always a good thing to remember.

Remembering to breathe is a good thing :)
I've only kayaked once and loved it.

When I saw that first pic I helped me breathe as well :) Kayaking is one of my favorite parts of our MN vacation. So soothing to be on top of the water.....

I love your pictures. They are so good and clear.

Oh yes, remembering how to breathe really is a bonus! I prayed for a long time for the opportunity to go kayaking around Zanzibar... And then one day, out of the blue, it came true. Therapeutic doesn't begin to describe it.

You sound like me. I have the intention to just relax and that to-do list just seems to creep up. I love the lilypad photos.

I spend a lot of time in mine. I just got back from a week of daily rain, I thought my kayak might become a bathtub.

There is something about being out there on the water in a you-powered boat, isn't there?

Beautiful shots Dawn, and you take these with your phone camera? Wow, that makes them that much more impressive, I can't wait to see what you can do with a DSLR! You're a natural.

The time of year we've all been waiting for, no more getting stuck (unless it's in mud), no more plugging in our vehicles, no more putting on 5 layers of clothes, yup the time we've been waiting for has arrived and it looks like you're taking full advantage of it. Good for you Dawn!

Wow! Wonderfuul place for kayaking! I'm also a fan of this activity and at least twice a week in summer (January for us...) I cross the Parana river to the Islands in front of my city (Rosario) to enjoy the peace of the nature... you are right, it's very therapeutic!
Have a nice weekend...

Just beautiful. So relaxing and energizing at the same time. I love those lily pads. I paddle through lily pads when I go out in the poke boat at my parents house.
