behind the scenes...

(spring photo taken when I visited the west coast)

Two types of people have been standing out to me as of late;

The backdrop- those who stand quietly in the background....
almost unnoticed.
Then there is the scene- those who stand up in front, show most of their color and display.

But....(just a thought)
 would the scene seem so brilliant without its backdrop?

(sorry...I've used this scene before, but the backdrop actually called out to me for this post~ Jasper, Alberta)

~~~~
Don't forget the backdrop,
for the backdrop sets the scene.
Are you ever going to write a book to feature your thoughts and observations on life? You should, it would be very interesting as is your blog.--Inger
Backdrops. They are very important. The wind beneath the wings. The backbone of society. Being a backdrop is nice.
That is so true and the place I like best. I live in a house with people who like to be in front and I have always been in the background so that is why blogging is such a incredible experience for me. :)
Beautiful words and a perfect photo for these words :-)
Thank you so much for your prayers for my nephew Jordan. He is improving, and our family has been so encouraged by the outpouring of love we've received.
Fantastic words with the perfect pictures to enjoy them by. I'm a new follower! Love your blog & love Alberta. I get there to Calgary for work. Western Canada is very similar landscape to the prairies I live on...but you have MOUNTAINS that I love!
Dawn, the saying "Behind every powerful man there's one good woman!" Backdrops need attention as well and it's awesome that you pulled this one out as a reminder to those of us who sometimes forget about the backdrop.
This past 2 days of taking photos at the Career Fair I ensured I snapped plenty of shots of the volunteers, they blend into the background (backdrop) far to often and do not get the recognition I believe they deserve! Without volunteers there wouldn't be a show so to speak.
Enjoy your weekend!
Lots of background people who make our lives better go unnoticed unless we acknowledge them personally. I always thank all who help with even little things if I can.Anyone with a name tag gets even a more personal thank you.
Wonderful thoughts and the images are amazing!
Oftentimes we only see the dot on the white board but not the background.
Happy Sunday.
That is an interesting analysis of people, Dawn. Are we all supposed to self-declare as a background or a scene person? I'm both.
A really great thought, Dawn. So true!
