There's the seemingly calm:
Which causes the chaos:
There's the seemingly cautious:
And the one in a crowd who throws
caution to the wind:
(look closely and you'll find him rushing in head first)
And gets caught in his consequences:
{Of course....it's usually the Cautionary who has to assist.}
The caution-thrower carries on his merry way:
(Until the next time.)
While the one's full of caution carry on:
At the end of the story, I am always left wondering just
who had the most fun....

and you can come running down my driveway any time you like!
LOL
oh puppy!!!
true true...whihc one indeed...I am sure it is always the one who follows their heart!
love and light Dawn
That's quite some melt you've got going.
Totally see the dog's point.
More bare ground up your way! Neat story via photos.
another thought provoking post...Bliss tends to throw caution to the wind...it is a wonder she has lived over 11 years...JD was mister cautious...and he only made till 10...makes you think doesn't it...
I'd much rather thrown caution to the wind. I don't always do that, but it sounds a lot more fun.
Gosh he has really grown, What a beautiful day. I really like your pictures.
What a great post ... I think everyone's happiest just following their own heart. Lovely dogs!

That was adorable! What a fun dog (though I'm sure a handful). I sure enjoy your posts about him though! :)
Love your story and photos, Dawn. Looks like the outing was lots of fun. Have a great day.

It does look like fun, but still not convincing enough for me. I was the one as a kid who sat on the edge of pool while everyone else jumped in. : )
Fun post!

If there weren't the Dukes in the world, think of how many things wouldn't be accomplished -- there's room for everyone, fortunately. :)
Ahhh...the snow melt and mud. A familiar site. I love your pup...just want to give him a great big hug!
WOOF! WOOF! and WOOOOF!!!
Quite the spring thaw...a little later this year.
Some dogs will never leave the water alone, mine loves playing in it.
That's always the dilemma, isn't it? Caution or fun?
It takes all kinds to rule the world. Both the cautious and the crazy!!!
haha looks like a little twister in the water in that first pic! And yes allways the ones with caution and the ones without!
Thanks for sharing
Leontien

Is that your beautiful puppy! Looks like a white Golden...
They are indeed into everything and without fear. We have a 12-year old whitish Golden...
I'm not sure they learn this, but humans must - sometimes it does not pay to throw caution to the winds...one must judge carefully the circumstances.
Then again, it seems that some people, in order to be fulfilled, need to be challenged in strange and dangerous ways.
I'm not one of them!
Great Pictures.... makes you like spring... (if only the temperature was more spring like heh?) Duke is adorable...and I love that horse coming down the road!!
xoxo
heehee! good one! your posts are always such a joy to read!
Great pics and what a CUTIE!!!
Hope you're having a good week!
His face was just what I needed this evening. He is just to adorable.
cute! yes, it's always the cautioius that "get to" help out the adventurous...i'm usually the helper :)
aww, this is so cute! and look at your wildly melting winter. happy spring! :)
Ha! I love jumping into icy water, Dawn. I might have joined him! How wonderful that you can see grass! These pics made my day - it gave me a chance to really see your world. Thank you! Is that your horse? My daughter would be so jealous... :)
Dawn what a great story I was not sure what was going to happen. Beautiful photos. B
I so love your photo stories:-)
You are luck to have so much open space... that's what catches my eye the most here in your photos. Looks like a nice family walk. Your dog is adorable!
Great contrast pictures to accompany your story and I think all had fun.
Such a PUPPY! :D So happy to see some spring!! Looks like a fun afternoon :)
I just can't tell you enough how much I love you and this Blog!
Thanks for sharing yourself wit us!

You need to write a book on quotes and thoughts.
Haha, I love how the photo's are like a story book! That dog is gorgeous! Amazing shots. (:
They are gorgeous dogs. Our blue heeler dog would of been in the water in a flash. Whereas the other one would of been hiding just in case we thought she should get wet...
Cute story and allegory.
The dog certainly seems happy with his decision! Glad he didn't get in trouble going through the fast water.
I like how you present the series with the words ...
maravillosas fotos , mas hermoso es el lugar donde vives. hermoso paisaje..de tu Canadá. Abrazos desde el sur del continente..♥
your dog is SOOOO cute!!! I'm always learning things from my puppies too :)
