{Could there be anything more fun for a boy,
then playing in the mud for the first time this spring?}
(Or for a mother..... puddle jumping while no one is around?)

Ooohhhh, puddle jumping; I haven't done that in years, thanks for the reminder, I hope to find the time to do some of this just cause I can!
I love our signs of spring, awesome shots you've captured. Now please let it really be spring, pretty please no more snow! ;-) Enjoy your weekend!
The grass wishes are working!! Yay!
Do jump and frolick, Dawn; I sprained my ankle running this week (fell off the curb and gashed my arm on the sharp cobblestone - very elegant) so there is no running for me this week. I'm so glad Alberta is beginning to thaw!
p.s. I love ee cummings...
Everything is starting to come back to life, isn't it? So happy for you -- I too enjoy ee cummings' thoughts. :)
Yay for Spring&Summer! What lovely photo's. (:
I used to love to dam up the water running down our street. I would creat a huge lake in the middle of the road, and cars would come splashing thru it, ruining my dam and causing me to start repair work. Of course, my mom was never pleased at my muddy clothing.
How true! Can't wait for the weather to stay this way.
awesome! now bring out those pink rubber boots!!! :)
Oh, the melt and the mud. Great pics, and great time of year. I've sloshed through a few myself this season.
yes! Spring! great shots Dawn!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!
Ha ha..my boys LOVE playing in the mud!
I think he's one lucky boy to have you for a mother!
that mud looks cold! Enjoy spring, Dawn.
Isn't "the thaw" wonderful this year! I was afraid it was going to be winter forever. And the mud ... there is nothing quite like Alberta mud! My boys love it too.
Horay!! So glad to see your defrosting finally!! Nothing better then mud in the spring...if you have some sort of trick getting the stains our later, I'd love to hear it!! We love to play in it, but I stink at getting rid of the evidence!!
Your photo's make me realize that each season has its beauty.
What totally wonderful captures. I could almost feel the cold of the water as the ice melts. Great job.
Yes what fun, Spring is my favorite time of the year :) Great to see Spring pics here!
Loved that first series of photos Dawn! Could feel it almost.
Playing in the mud......forgot about that!
We looked forward to playing in the mess that thaw made.
Mud and puddles are better than a bag full of toys for a little boy!
great pictures...i have two boys, they always found the mud, or created it!!!!!
I am sure that mud and puddles are a nice alternative to snow and ice.
ahhhh...
Rooster and Ginger would love it...great post Dawn
Wonderful shots and the quote is great.
I was the mud queen. I can't tell you how many mud pies I made when I was a kid. If there was mud I had my hands in it. Happy Spring!!
Mud and puddles.. they're meant for little boys. Love that last image.. perfect.
WOO! A thaw!!!
even at 19, my son has a deep love for the mud....
and working outside in construction has proven to be a joy of his :)
go figure :)
love that quote! now you can run in the mud instead of the snow ;)
