the Grand Scheme

When an issue seems rather large,
do you ever stop and wonder:

"Is it really going matter in the grand scheme of things?"

Amen to that! And adorable picture to go with the thought.

My dad always told me a story about a child who complained bitterly to his parents about the ratty old hand-me-down shoes that he wore.

He stopped complaining when he met a child who had no shoes.

Thank you for reminding us what really matters, Dawn.

Dawn, this is so well thought out and no sometimes things just don't really matter in the bigger picture. I ask myself that quite a bit and generally the answer is no, when it's a yes it's going to matter I push myself harder.

Enjoy your day!

We tend to sweat the small stuff...and it really is not even a blimp in the grand scheme of things.

An excellent thought! Sometimes the screen of my life gets filled up with a zoom-in on myself... you're right... sometimes, it's time to Zoom Out! Great thoughts, Dawn!

Would I still worry about this in 6 months time? is often good to ask.

Oh yes, always! Well, almost always. : ) I'm a firm believer in that saying, 'everything happens for a reason.'

Dawn great shots love your cat. The answer to your question is yes I think of that and most times no it does not matter. Live your life be happy and help others smile too. Simple and most things will pass. Thanks B

It's all just the stuff of life -- there's really no good or bad. At least, that's what I try to keep at the forefront.

Great message and photos, as usual. :)

Speaking of things that don't matter in the grand scheme of things.... that wasn't a fish in my post, it was a porpoise which is a mammal (like a whale it must come to the surface to breath). Have a totally wonderful day.

Excellent post. So true. As for me, I just turn it over to Him...He always handles things perfectly if I can just get out of His way! Blessings.

I do now more often than when I was young. I love the thoughts that come into your mind and how you know how to express them.--Inger

Good pair of photos to illustrate. In the grand scheme, our problems are so small.

Great thought for all of us to bear in mind, and perhaps none more than our politicians who seem to get outraged (now THERE'S a misused word !) at the slightest thing.

Nicely illustrated Dawn !
