morning fog

(Besides strong, black coffee every morning),

there isn't anything I enjoy much more,
than a run into a new day of sunshine.

And your favorite way to break through the morning fog?

I'll bet the morning fog also looks good if I lie in bed, crack open just one eye, enjoy the sight, and roll over. The coffee can wait.

Nice photographs. Looks like you would need to run to keep warm.

Coffee for me too -- and a quick trip outside with the dogs.

Pretty photos! :)

Great photos!
I love breaking through the fog with a cup of coffee and a brisk walk in the woods with our dogs.

Beautiful! My way would just be to sit and take photos of it until it disappears. :)

Nice pics! Hopefully the snow will be gone for you soon!

Beautiful shot. I love my coffee but I have to agree with Samantha a walk in the woods will do it every time for me also. Thanks Dawn for the wonderful shot. B

Lovely. I spend a few minutes outside with my first cup of coffee. Most bracing in the winter.

yup, an open door, dogs running afield, a cup of coffee in the hand, birds singing, and a towel on the chair on the front porch - to keep my butt from dew...

It IS foggy there! We sometimes get fog so bad it's hard to see to drive over the mountain home, but it takes just the right conditions.

Thanks for your card!

Oh coffee of course. I like best to go out in the early morning air. That helps the most and watch the sun rise from outside. It always blows away the cobwebs.

I like to have a fishing pole in hand, lots of foggy mornings where I go trout fishing.

I am dreaming of thickly warm summer mornings where I'm sitting on the back deck, drinking the strongest of coffee, the warmth of the hot summer day already almost enveloping me, and watching the sun moving up over Mt Hood. Ahhhhh...I can taste it all...it's almost here...just a month or two more...

Beautiful. My favorite is to walk my dogs and see the mist clear around the mountains.

Green tea & watching the sun come up (before "mom wheres this? Mom wheres that?" starts) is my wake up "me" time :)

My favorite time - early morning and it's always made better with a little fog...

Beautiful photos.

Re your comment about covering your head: can't imagine what you're talking about. Maybe you were walking into a church?

Just kidding!

Wow you still have snow on the ground. We had rain that quickly turned to snow today. Luckily it didn't stay around.

I'm neither brave, strong nor young. So, I contemplate morning sitting in bed with a cup of coffee and watch the rain, the fog, the wind, the waves all show themselves somehow, with or without fog.

I love morning fog. Everything seems so still.

I don't care how beautiful your mornings are... I'm not getting up that darn early....hahaha

Oh, those are gorgeous shots, but they look like they were taken painfully early in the morning ;-)

Once I get up, a cup of extra dark roast coffee turns my crank !

Pretty pictures, Dawn! We took a long run over hill and dale recently...and I thought of you! I know you would have loved it.

Morning fog, what's that? I jump outta bed, straight into the shower, grab my cup of decaf tea and head out the door... no time in my world for morning fog! Right, I forgot I also let my pup out for her morning business! lol

Isn't it wonderful to see the sun shining first thing in the morning again? I love it! Great shots Dawn, I love the second one. Have a fantastic day!
