Life Boats

A sail across the sea.
Life sometimes feels like that to me.
(And after this past week~ it's nice to know that the sailing can vary :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's nice to have a routine and a steadfastness to your days.
But there are times when it's  wonderful and Necessary to have the beautifully surreal moments.
Life can bring some turbulent and churning times....
....and times you feel pretty much out there by yourself.
It's a must to have those you love along with you in moments, even if it can get a little crowded.
Sometimes it's true....The More The Merrier.
It makes up for the times when you feel like 2 or 3 is a crowd.
And YOU're the underdog.
Breathtaking and those "ahhh"  moments must be held on to.
It can get you through those days where all you feel you're good for is work.
Tugging things around to keep the order and sanity.
 Ever feel like life isn't quite what it should be?~~~~
a substitute for what really should be.
It isn't reality,
but sure is nice to enjoy while you're there!
And then there are the days we have strength.
We seem to feel we can withstand the pressures of the journey,
and stand out and up while taking on the overwhelming tasks of the day.
I love those days!
Of course, there are times when 2 is better than 1.
Teamwork is an incredible means to journey with.
Especially when there's  harmony.
Solitude is lovely.
And often only bits here and there is what is needed to get you through the next leg.
Did I mention that Solitude is Lovely?
:)
It's nice to know others are out there....even if not right along beside.
Because really...we all are in the same boat.
Even if it isn't at the same place and time.
Life can be a party.
Life can take us directions only the wind blows.
And at the end of the day,
it's nice to pull your boat out~ and just be thankful it stayed afloat!
And remember....
“When the tides of life turn against you and the current upsets your boat,
don't waste those tears on what might have been, just lie on your back and float.”
~~~~

Happy Sails to you for this new week!

And sometimes... you just want to jump overboard and swim to another island where no one can bug you. Haha!

What an awesome collection of pictures and words to go along with them.

Hoping this week is all smooth sailing for you. :)

Very nice thought and pictures. You have me wishing it was better weather to get in thekayak. I enjoy by myself but have a pair just in case I find someone to join in.with your last quote it made me think of a trip in North central Nebraska with 12 new to the canoe and kayakers. Every time I would flip I held on , and in shallow rocks got banged a bit.I need to go with the flow.It was good for a few laughs later, but at the time I was getting a bit grumpy.

I can so relate to feeling like the underdog at times,just sometimes the kids and husband seem to do the most exciting things and you are left to always see to the mundane everyday things. Luckily that feeling passes quickly!!!

Dear Dawn, my life sail has been in wild waters sometimes, and in calm waters some other times. I enjoy the wild to keep alone and save energy, then I enjoy the calm waters to sail and sail fast and free and I take with me all those who want to come along!!!

I want to say, dear Dawn, you are a special friend I got this year! I do enjoy your texts! You write exactly what comes to your mind, I believe so! That is so original, my dear!
I wish your sail takes you where you want to be, always! Love!! Bela

You tell the most incredible stories of journeys taken. I had never felt terribly motivated to take a cruise before: I guess I've got too many bad old episodes of the Love Boat embedded in my brain. But this...this is the kind of adventure my family would never forget.

Thank you for opening my eyes, changing my mind, and giving me something to think about.

Beautiful Pictures and inspirational words my Friend, I loved this line, it is so true:

"Because really...we all are in the same boat.
Even if it isn't at the same place and time."

and summing it up with:

“When the tides of life turn against you and the current upsets your boat, don't waste those tears on what might have been, just lie on your back and float.”

just ties it all together, Thank you my dear friend, your words are a blessing to me.

Your post has made me very pensive! It is dark out, and time for bed... and I feel like the boat that is only good for work, but am glad I am also the one strong enough for the task! Those meaningful moments of life are indeed what makes life worth living and striving to complete. A wonderfully thoughtful post! And I'm sure it took a long time to upload all those pictures. :)
I agree with texwisgirl...your feet are prettier than mine! Hugs.
