Fall Photo....Finish

It seems that our lovely Fall we have enjoyed, has decided to come to an end.
I awoke this morning to wind, snow, ice,
and sported a head of frozen hair after I left the pool this morning.

And so it begins.

BUT:
I promise I will not complain.
I will do my utmost to be loyal to my prairie province and Canadian country.
I solemnly vow I will tackle the white with  grace and as much "positivity" as I can muster.
And I will continue to be thankful for the ability to enjoy each season as it comes.....-40 Celsius and all.

(and someone out there HAS to promise to remind me of this vow I am making:)

Signing for my First Half Ironman

It's Saturday.
I have lots to do but I also am trying to settle on a race schedule for next year.
My Bucket List and Goal Sheet sit staring at me daily.

My next contemplation lies here.....

Hope you all Have a Wonderful Weekend...
(and I heard many of you are getting snow~~
even before I have had even a snowflake
up here in the north!:)

The waiting game

It knows that as soon as it gives in to the fall,
the winds of winter will begin breathing down our necks.

I'm cheering it on to hang up there just a bit longer.

Tucked Away

I've been busy Falling for Moments like these:

My youngest came in to the kitchen this morning and stated,

"On these days, it would seem just awful to stay
Tucked Away
inside your house."

I wholeheartedly agreed.

This and That

~one of my most favorite Autumn captures~
Jasper, Alberta, CANADA
*****

A couple days ago I was tagged by MizNovember to
answer the following questions:

1. What scent always makes you happy?
Definitely the smell of baking cookies when I walk in the door. My kids are always baking! (And right now....it would have to be the smell of leaves on a sunny day!)

2. What is your favorite mistake? {like the Sheryl Crow song}
Hmmmm...I would have to say one of my kids that wasn't exactly planned:)

3. If I could change a physical attribute magically...
DEFINITELY my legs! It would be nice to have 2 extra inches so I didn't always have to look for "short jeans"...(they nicely try to call them "petite" sizes....I just say call it what it is- SHORT.)

4. Is there one food that you could eat every single day and never tire of?
Of course it would be pizza. Greek Pizza. With extra feta. (Of course someone would have to promise me it had no calories before I consumed it on a daily basis:)

5. You just came into some serious money. What is the firstthing you buy?
A plane ticket to Italy.  (Maybe a ONE-WAY ticket.....)

6. When you were a little girl, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A writer! I still have the very first book I ever wrote...I think it was in Grade 3:)

7. You are being granted one talent or skill that you don't already possess. What do you choose?

Hmmmm...this one is hard. I would like so many.
But if only one...I would have to say the skill of keeping my Mouth SHUT.
********

And on THAT note....check out this blog: BellaRosaBikes
and the article I wrote here on completing my first Triathlon.
I hope one day I can buy one of these: handbuilt bikes to do my Olympic Distance Triathlon:)

Wishing you a HAPPY DAY.....
and just for your information...as I write this... it is
NATIONAL SMILE DAY
:)

Fall Freedom

Watching this made my heart smile today.
I needed a bit of fall freedom from the adult world.

Hoping your weekend is bringing you a smile here and there....

Tis the season...

Hard to believe that summer is now September.
Where did it go?
Here in Alberta...I think we missed it- or summer missed us.
Every where else in the world seems to have set record highs...I think we set the lows.

I still had an enjoyable summer even though it wasn't quite as planned.
Now....fall.
The sounds, sights, smells of September are already beginning.
How I know we're heading into a new season.....
The corn stalks are taller than me.

These little guys are slowing down...and thankfully so are the dandelions.

The fields are baled.

My garden is full of these giants.

And one of my favorite.....

...these guys making game plans with their dad...

'Tis the season.
