Wonderful post Dawn. We don't even get the day off here unless we work at the bank or for the schools. Very disappointing given all that's gone on in the past 10 years alone :(

Carrie

A wonderful reminder Dawn. We are forever blessed that so many gave their lives to fight for our rights and freedoms. I honor each one of them today.

Happy Remembrance day.

Nice to see we share a holiday. Sad that to resolve differences we must fight wars. I miss the pomp for this holiday, there are no parades as when I was a kid. School is out, and many places are closed. I went to a breakfast and small ceremony.I am planting more bulbs today, getting ready for spring blooms.

Yes today is a day to honor those who have gotten us to where we are today, because without these men and women where would we be.

Couple years ago we went to Austria.. As we flew into the Vienna airport there were fields and fields of poppies in bloom. It was so beautiful... I love poppies.
We should honor all veterans and military people that are serving today.. Without them we would not have the freedom we have in the USA. When we were in Austria you can still see holes in the buildings where they had been bombed.. Austria was a beautiful country.. Have a great day,,,,,ta ta for now... from Iowa...

Not nearly enough is being done to remember all those brave men who died so valiantly somewhere in Europe,it is a crying shame!
