Spring Action

Around these parts....

May and June are months so filled with activity,
you often wish you could just stay in bed.

You get pulled along by spring activities and year-end functions.

If you don't go along with it all....there's a chance you may get left behind.

Which wouldn't be a bad thing,
 if you could sit and enjoy the scenery somewhere
amidst all the running and shuffling.

But every kind of duty calls....so you carry on.
And you look forward to the day when you can just stop
and smell the roses.

Or any type of bloom for that matter.

LIFE IS GOOD.....
but is anyone else feeling the craziness of spring?
~~~~
Missing all your posts and can't wait to sit down once again and catch up.
Hope your May was spring-y and your June is full of even more beauty....
*Note of Irony....
after my last post on how dear I hold the invention of my
washing machine....it broke down one hour later.
And stayed broke for quite some time.
Life has a funny way of pulling my leg.
I actually could laugh over the irony of it all.
Maybe I'm finally growing up.....;)
May ALWAYS seems to go by in the blink of an eye for me (and sping with it)... and now summer is beginning here in TX.
I'm hoping to be able to just drift easily and lazily through the next three months.
Dawn BUSY BUSY BUSY you are so right. I wish I was your dog sometimes. I think with haying coming up it will be much worse. I am sorry about your washer but "Murphy's Law".
Love your photos. I hope I can keep up with this virtual world also.
Don't work too hard. B
I'm loving all your photos! Bummer about the washer though...
CRIPES on the washer...I hate when that happens!
about your craziness of spring...hah, I wish I remembered when it was spring. We went from winter into summer it seems-has been in the 90's for at least two weeks now and 98 today. I love the heat and I love summer but with Hurricane season beginning tomorrow, the intense heat makes way for some nasty storms.
take good care...
Regarding the washer down---God has a sense of humor!
You have my sympathy on a broken washer, but I did have to laugh. :)
So sad about the washing machine. Must've been bad luck to say how much you loved it in a post!
Yes, spring is a busy time, and with so much beauty it would be nice to stop the clock for awhile to catch up and enjoy.
Very pretty and I for one am so excited that you are having spring. It takes a long time to get to you but when it does it just seems to explode. I still laugh at the picture you posted of how to tell when spring is coming because you see the deer in the backyard. :)
Such a great picture.
Isn't it the way it goes. You talk about something going right and then, blooey. It's like an invite to Murphy, I am almost afraid to write about something wonderful - for fear something will go horribly wrong. Sorry about the washer. :(
Where did May go? Where did Spring go? All of a sudden it's 95 degrees and it is too hot to do anything!
Dawn I wish it was only May and June which are the hectic months in my world, all of my months are busy this year and even if it's crazy making, I show up, I do and I keep on doing. Sometimes though I just have to say enough and take some time out.
Your post is awesome, when you mentioned stop and smell the roses the photo wasn't visible on my computer yet and I expected to see a rose, good one! lol
Have a great week and I hope you take some time for you soon, we all need our "me" time I'd say.
Yes, We have skipped directly from winter to summer and I do feel the rush...to get things planted, open and clean out the house, etc. But all I want to do is take a picnic and enjoy the change :)
I love, love, love your dog!
What a lovely concept, and lovely photo's! I love the spring so much, but it seems we have indeed whizzed past it!
The month of May has been crazy in our house. I am kind of glad to see June! Maybe we will slow down just a bit.
Great photos and I can relate to the busy months.
In a couple of weeks the kids will be done with school and looking for mom and dad to entertain them--transitioning in types of busy for us I guess.
I like the picture of the horse in the distance trying to catch up! Sorry about the washing machine breaking down on you! It seems your spring and summers are way too short,so do try to stop and smell the flowers as often as possible!
I might be feeling the craziness of spring... if we weren't in the depths of autumn here, with winter tightening its grip on our throats. Dude, you're, like... sooo Northern Hemisphere:-)
PS - as it so happens, I've just given away a washing machine!
This is a terrific series of photos and you connected it nicely with your story line. Is our friendship over if I laughed at the note about your washing machine breaking down?
Fun and funky post...again! We always thought when we retired we'd just sit around and read books, etc. Hah! We're busier now than ever. But the good news is that we're doing what we want to do rather than what we have to do - usually!
You're also very funny: Being a "fisherman" wasn't one of the options. I like the way you find the road less traveled; think out of the box!
I almost wrote about that very thing yesterday, in the midst of my animal dilemmas. Every day just seems to fly by -- love your photos. :)
Irony is such a kick. And I get such a kick out of how you link your always-beautiful images with your words.
Funny thing about the washing machine;-)
You must experience this time of year the way we do at our year end...December! Schools close for the summer holidays and Christmas is also in the mix...hectic I tell you.
That first shot makes me want to take a nap :D
Yep - spring always brings out the wow-I've-got-all-this-yard-work-to-do-all-of-a-sudden syndrome. One day there's hard, barren ground and it seems the next day all the gardens need weeding and the veggie garden better get planted ... But it's all good - no winter for a while and it's all outdoors.
Have a great week Dawn, and stay busy ;-)
I understand that...busy...busy...
