Monday Madness

So i know now why they call slippers...Slip-pers.
They're slippery. At least mine are.
Well...at least that's what I'm blaming my fall down the stairs on.
Monday morning i was carrying my notebook computer along with my Internet hook up down the stairs. All i wanted to do was to check the weather on the weather network. That's all.
Well...my slippers slipped and down i went.
I guess i am just blaming the fall on the slippers so i don't feel as stupid as i probably looked, tumbling down the stairs with my notebook.
My daughter thought that all the pictures were coming down off the wall as i slid. It must have been a glorious sound, for it was quite a glorious fall.
I thought maybe just my pride was hurt. But my arm is quite purple, blue, and green today.
And my Internet hook-up...broken.
This would be the reason i haven't return e-mailed some of you,
and the reason for not too many posts for about the next week.
Luckily the internet "company" is being so kind as to replace my hook-up for free.
Even though it was my own fault i was the one who took a grand tumble.

My positive highlight yesterday was special company coming over for tea.
Thank you for the visit dear Auntie and mom:)
It made the day wonderful regardless of all my Monday's Madness of tumbles.

Anyway....for today...and until i have access a working computer again, i
came across a quote i love by Mark Twain i wanted to share:

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade wind in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

(my sister & i discovered this trestle bridge hiding away in some trees
on an Explore during our island visit)

Wishing you all a Happy Day (and week)!
Go and Explore, Dream, and Discover!

Oh Dawn! Ouchie! You have to be careful of those slippers...they were the demise of my dear Grandmother at the age of 94...I refuse to wear them! ;)

I hope you mend quickly!

Hope you are doing OK!! It always seems a person feels worse the day after something like that happens.
